Well, that was a weekend we won't forget too soon!  I hope that everyone is safe and had little to no damage!  If you did, I know swim team emails from me are the last thing on your mind right now!  

There are some things that do need attention earlier in the week in order for us to get things squared away with the Eden and to understand how our meet tomorrow with Millersville will work.  

Millersville Meet--Away (NEW)

THEME: Dress like a coach!

From Coach Anibal:

     This Tuesday's meet swim meet will be at Millersville. They are one of the teams with a 4 lane pool, therefore, according to league rules there only needs to be one Live heat swam per age group. 

Because of the size of our team, and the size of their pool, we will only be taking Live swimmers and 2 relays per age group. 

How this affects our team and our swimmers: 

• If you're swimmer is swimming in the meet with 2 Live events and a relay, those are the events they will swim. If your swimmer has 1 Live heat and 1 relay. They will get to pick 1 other exhibition event to swim if they want to. They can also choose not to. 
• If your swimmer only has a relay swim, they may pick 2 other exhibition events to swim as well. This will only apply to this meet at Millersville because of the size of the pool. 
• The next meet at Hempfield, July 14, will be a regular meet where we expect to take however many swimmers that would like to go. I will send a preliminary lineup out on Monday so that everyone can get an idea of what they are doing and tell me what they would like to do.

With that being said, if your swimmer is NOT swimming tomorrow and you signed up for a job, we will take care of finding a replacement with the swimmers who are going.

Banquet--July 19th at The Eden (New and FINAL REMINDER)

• The RSVP for the Banquet at the end of the season is now open. Please follow the directions below:
  • Where: Eden Resort Courtyard
  • When: Sunday, July 19th 5:30-9:30 PM
  • Cost:
  • $19 ages 4-12 years old
  • $29 for ages 13 and up
  • Payment: Cash, Check (payable to Skyline Swim Team -put in Damm mailbox) or Venmo (@skylinesharks) PLEASE ADD AN ADDITIONAL $2 PER PERSON IF PAYING BY VENMO due to Skyline by July 8th.
  • ***This is a very HARD deadline and we WILL NOT be able to accept additional people after this date. **NEW** In the past we have offered to have swimmers/parents come after the meal part of the banquet.  Unfortunately we are not able to have this happen this year and moving forward.  Thank you for understanding. 
  • ***Register: In SwimTopia, go to Meets and Events and scroll to Banquet and click the RSVP button.
  • RSVP for only those listed in your family who are attending. If you are bringing additional guests, please choose how many and list their names (and age if a child) in the Comment Section. Also, in the comments section – please list your total amount and payment method.If you have not registered and paid when the signup closes on the 14th, you will not be counted in the final count and will be unable to attend the meal portion of the banquet.Other information:
  • 8 and under swimmers will be sitting with their families
  • We WILL have assigned seating (for parents/guests)to make sure everyone has a place to sit. We will not be saving seats for any swimmers/parents. This has caused a lot of stress for the banquet staff in the past and I would like to try to avoid it. Thank you for understanding. Swimmers will be at the long tables in the middle (ages 9 and up). We are also not saving seats for any swimmer this year.
  • Children ages 12-years-old and below must be accompanied by a responsible adult
  • For safety purposes, Skyline Swim Team and families are only permitted in the courtyard and lobby areas of the Eden Resort. Parents/Guardians need to know children's whereabouts at all times.

Divisionals (NEW)

• Above is the sign up genius that you will click on to volunteer for either an AM or PM slot. (12 and up will be swimming in the AM session, and 10 and unders will be swimming in the PM session) If you have a swimmer swimming in this meet, you are expected to sign up to help. WE MUST HAVE THOSE VOLUNTEER SLOTS FILLED! (I know I sound like a broken record. . .)
  • Here is what will happen if you are not signed up yet:
  • Jenn, our Volunteer Coordinator will have her clipboard with a QR code for you to scan and sign up! It is just that easy! She will be at the meet on Tuesday, as well as next Tuesday to get those slots filled up! We CANNOT have holes in these positions! Concession needs will come out soon!
• Divisionals is a huge fundraiser for the team! PLEASE help us out!

Pageant Ocean Swim 2026: August 8th (REMINDER)

• Coach Syd is presenting our older, stronger swimmers to participate with her in the Pageant Ocean Swim on August 8th.
  • This is recommended for ages 14+ and parents would have to be on boardto help transport the swimmer (s) to Atlantic City, NJ on that day. It starts at 6:15pm. She would like to leave early in the morning and make a beach day out of it, too!
  • Entry fee is $43.58, but if you are a USA club swimmer, there is a discount.
  • The swim is 1.2 miles
