A Morning Scoop. . .because tonight, we dance!

Good Morning, Skyline!!

So proud of all of our Divisionals participants yesterday!  You represented Skyline with grace, poise, and fast times--so fast that some of you may have added a qualifying time for leagues.

I've attached the updated League qualifiers as well as the results from yesterday's meet and the League Meet lint up for Friday and Saturday.  Please check out the line up for both League Relays and League Individuals. If you have any changes, Please let Coach Barb know by 5 PM on Sunday evening--BEFORE you roll into the banquet (hence the morning scoop!)

(REMINDER) Banquet

Every season we look forward to a fun time to enjoy great food (because who wants to cook dinner anymore), friends, celebrations, and music!  To help make this a fun night for everyone, here are a few reminders (cue bullet points):

  • Parents!  PLEASE keep an eye on your children (including those older swimmers in the middle of the room!).  Please remind them to not mix food in beverage pitchers, throw things, and make a mess for our lovely servers.  This is a classy meal, so  manners are important!  Thank you!
  • Coffee and Tea Station--There will be helpers there for swimmers who would be permitted to have such beverages.  We had some issues that involved small children trying to help themselves to the coffee and hot water for tea.  This is dangerous because they are hot, and We do not want anyone to get burned tonight!
  • Water Station--As a courtesy, we have the banquet staff place water and cups on the back buffet tables during dancing (because we know you work up a sweat).  There will be helpers there to keep the area tidy.  Please be respectful and place your cup in the trash cans that are near the water tables.   Feel free to reuse your cup by placing it in a safe spot!
  • Dancing!  We know you have some lit moves, Skyline, but please, running around during the dancing time is NOT dancing and can cause a danger to other adults and kids, especially the banquet staff who are trying to get things cleaned up for the night.  Parents, please be aware of where your children are and what they are doing during this time.  There were too many times in the past few years that we had some close calls of slipping and collisions.
  • Lobby-The lobby is for hotel guests and for adults who just want to get away from the noise for a quick moment.  Swimmers, please stay in the banquet room unless you are using the bathrooms.  At no time will the Eden tolerate unsupervised children running around the lobby.
  • FINALLY, IF you are coming to the program portion of tonight, you may plan to arrive around 6:45pm.  It would be great to have an email or text from you letting me know you are coming so we can have someone direct you to an open seat. Here is my number 717-572-1389, but please text/email before 4:00PM!

The Skyline Board really appreciates your attention to these important things!  Looking forward to seeing everyone spiffed up and ready to boogie!

Cathy
